Kapya Cunda Hotel
Cunda Island, Ayvalık — Balıkesir, Türkiye
Kapya Cunda is a small hotel on Cunda Island, off Ayvalık on Turkey’s northern Aegean coast. Its ground floor houses a restaurant and bar that opens from the dining room onto a shaded street terrace.
Twenty VLG-234 bases were supplied for the terrace and the interior. The terrace sits directly on a coastal street, so the outdoor bases carry a coated finish chosen for salt-laden air, and the wide footplate keeps square tops steady on uneven stone paving.
Column and plate are joined with a multi-bolt connection rather than a fixed weld, so a single component can be replaced on site instead of the whole base — useful in a seasonal venue where furniture is moved and re-arranged all summer.
