Sustainability at Vialeg

We are a manufacturer, not a marketing agency — so this page lists what we actually do today, and what we are still working on.

Durability is our main contribution

The most sustainable product is the one you do not have to replace. Our steel, cast iron and brass bases are built for decades of commercial use: solid columns, machined parts and replaceable levelling feet. When a foot or mounting plate wears out, we supply the part instead of a new base.

Powder coating instead of wet paint

All painted finishes are applied by electrostatic powder coating. The process is solvent-free, releases no VOC-laden overspray into the air, and excess powder is recovered and reused. One durable coat also means fewer repaints over the life of the product.

Recyclable materials

Steel, cast iron, brass and copper are among the most recycled materials in the world. Metal offcuts and shavings from our Istanbul workshop go back into the scrap loop, and a Vialeg base itself is fully recyclable at the end of its life.

Local, in-house production

We design and manufacture in Istanbul İkitelli with local suppliers for wood and metal components. Short supply chains mean fewer transport kilometres before a base ever leaves the factory. Where possible we ship knock-down, packing more bases per pallet and fewer pallets per order.

What we do not claim

We do not yet hold environmental certificates, and we will not print leaves on a page to pretend otherwise. Our current focus areas are reducing packaging waste and improving energy efficiency in the workshop. When we have certified results, they will be listed here.
