Wholesale Buying Guide
When buying table bases at wholesale, price is only part of the decision. Minimum order, lead time, packing method and sample policy are often more decisive than the unit rate. This guide covers what to settle before you ask for a quotation.
1. Minimum order quantity
The industry norm is 100–500 units per model. At Vialeg the minimum order is 10 units, and OEM or custom production starts from 15. That difference removes most of the stock risk for a buyer trialling a new model in the field.
2. Lead times
| Situation | Time |
|---|---|
| Ex-stock dispatch (metal models) | 10 days |
| Made-to-order production | 25 working days |
| Road transit to Central Europe | 5–10 days |
| Total time to delivery | 4–7 weeks |
For comparison: Far East supply typically runs 45–60 days in production plus 30–40 days at sea — around three months in total.
3. Commercial terms

4. Packing and freight
Freight is the quiet, large line in the landed cost of a table base. Shipped assembled, a base fills most of its volume with air. Vialeg ships all export orders knock-down on pallets, cutting freight per unit by up to five times.
When comparing quotations, look past the unit price to the number of units per container. That is usually where the real difference between two similar offers sits.
5. Samples
Vialeg ships single-unit samples; product, freight and duties are invoiced to the buyer. Before ordering a sample, confirm the RAL code, the height and the intended top size so that the piece you receive matches exactly what the production run will deliver.
